Announcement
Hong Kong Sports Science and Technology Symposium, to be held on 10–11 July 2026 at the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI).
The Symposium serves as a strategic platform bringing together leaders in sports science, technology, and high performance sport in Hong Kong. It aims to facilitate the exchange of insights on how emerging innovations in science and technology are shaping athlete development and the wider performance ecosystem.
The Symposium is built upon the foundations of the Sports Science and Research Funding Scheme (SRFS), a HKD 300 million initiative jointly supported by the HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, and administered by the HKSI. The Scheme aims to advance sports science, applied research and performance innovation to strengthen Hong Kong’s elite sport development.

- To discuss the development of sport science and technology in Hong Kong in recent years, particularly focusing on the impact and changes since the establishment of the SRFS.
- To explore the future trajectory of sport technology in Hong Kong and discuss strategies to optimise the SRFS for enhanced development and benefits.
