Nutritional intake during La Ultra - The High: Plans, Mistakes and Learnings

La Ultra - The High (222 km) has been spoken about as the toughest ultra marathon in the world, which many said was impossible. It crosses two highest motor-able mountain passes in the world (17,700 ft). We are still not very clear how human physiology works at these altitudes. To do such an event, detailed planning needs to be in place. In spite of being very experienced runners, entering the unknown exposes them to severest of conditions, where consequences can be fatal. This presentation will highlight their detailed planning, execution, mistakes and learnings for the future.
