The Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI)
The HKSI is Hong Kong's elite sports training centre. It aims to enable talented athletes in Hong Kong to achieve international success. The HKSI was also the venue of the historic Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Equestrian Events. The HKSI is situated near the Fo Tan MTR station, it only takes five minutes' walk from the station to the conference venue and takes less than seven-minute ride from the neighboring hotels.
The HKSI refurbished barrier-free state-of-the-art sports facilities for training athletes which include a swimming complex, athletic track & field, rowing centre, sports complex that houses an array of international-standard facilities such as fencing hall, badminton hall, table tennis hall, wushu hall, tennis courts, squash courts and a fitness training centre, and also an Elite Training Science and Technology Division for scientific conditioning, sports medicine, sport nutrition, sport biomechanics and sport psychology. The nine-storey Main Building of HKSI provides integrated facilities for hosting international conference.
