Organised by the HKSI and supported by the Hong Kong China Sports Alliance, “A New Milestone in Elite Sport: Advancing Sports Science and Technology” seminar was held today at the HKSI. The event brought together nearly 300 stakeholders from across the sports sector, including experts in sports science and sports medicine, coaches and elite athletes, to exchange insights into the pivotal role of sports science and technology in elite training, with a view to enhancing professionalism in sport and fostering its development as a sustainable industry.

In his opening remarks, Mr Tang King-shing GBS PDSM, Chairman of the HKSI, noted that under the National 15th Five-Year Plan and the HKSAR Government’s policy direction, sports science and research have become increasingly important to elite sport development.
