18^th Asian Games - Day 2: Following the success of the wushu team, Hong Kong's fencers started their Asian Games campaign with 2 bronze medals. Liu Yan-wai impressed in the women's foil individual, beating 2017 Asian champion Huo Xingxin in the quarterfinal to reach the last four and finally won a bronze medal. Lo Ho-tin made a clean sweep in the preliminary rounds of the men's sabre individual en route to the semi-final, and took another bronze for Hong Kong.
