18th Asian Games - Day 3: The fencing team brought 1 silver and 2 bronze medals for Hong Kong on the day. In the men's foil individual, Nicholas Choi beat Cheung Ka-long in an all-Hong Kong semi-final to advance into the final, where he lost to China's Huang Mengkai to settle for silver. Cheung took bronze in his debut performance in an individual event. In the women's epee individual, Kong Man-wai Vivian narrowly lost in the semi-final, and took bronze for the second Asian Games in a row.
