Public Affairs & Marketing Officer (Branding & Marketing) (英文版本)

The Hong Kong Sports Institute Limited (“HKSI”) is the Government’s delivery agent to provide the high performance training system for eligible sports. The HKSI’s mission is to provide an environment in which sports talent can be identified, nurtured and developed to pursue excellence in the international sporting arena benchmarked at Major Games results. We are now inviting suitable candidates for the following vacancy:

The Job

Reporting to the Assistant Public Affairs and Marketing Manager, the Public Affairs and Marketing Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To assist in the implementation of plan and strategies related to Branding and Marketing Promotions, Video Production and Corporate Events aiming to arouse the public/media attention to elite sports in Hong Kong, stimulate interest of sports talent to become elite athletes and pledge support of their stakeholders, the mass media, the commercial sector and the community as a whole and enhance Hong Kong’s status in the international arena.
  • To handle public enquiries and assist in corporate hospitality.
  • To assist in brand research, redevelopment and marketing promotions.
  • To ensure all corporate promotions including those developed by internal and external partners aligned with the HKSI Brand Guidelines and the corporate image of an elite athletes training centre.
  • To develop displays, sportswear, souvenir, etc. for promoting ‘elite’ image at the HKSI training facilities to inspire the local and overseas visitors and to boost morale of elite athletes.
  • To monitor photo/ video taking activities at the HKSI premises and training facilities
  • To work with internal departments to maintain a computerised data bank for all visual materials eg. photos, videos, etc.
  • To monitor the work of design house, copywriters, translators, photographers, videomen, etc.

 

The Requirements

  • A university degree / diploma in marketing, communication or a relevant discipline;
  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience;
  • Sense of visual arts for development of photos, videos, displays and publications, and knowledge in copyrights and privacy
  • Prior project / event management experience preferable;
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Ability to speak Putonghua is a definite advantage;
  • Pleasant personality with good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Meticulous and able to work independently;
  • Proficient in MS-Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing, knowledge in Photoshop is advantageous; and
  • Awareness / knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
