The Hong Kong athletics team won 2 gold and 1 silver medal at the Hong Kong Inter-City Athletics Championships held on 5 - 6 July in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong table tennis team won a silver medal in the Junior Girls¡¦ Team category at the 14th Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships held on 23 - 27 July in Singapore. Winning athletes were Guan Mengyuan, Lee Ho-ching, Ng Wing-nam and Tai Yan-lam.

Paralympic gold medallist Yu Chui-yee shares experience with students

Yu Chui-yee, wheelchair fencing athlete and 4-gold medallist of 2004 Athens Paralympics, was invited by the Hong Kong Jockey Club to share her experience with 50 Beijing students and 50 local students of the Equestrian Youth Ambassador Programme at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology on 16 July. The programme aims to provide a platform for young people in Hong Kong to engage in the promotion of equestrian Olympic events and the Olympic Spirit.
