Library Collection and Services

The Sports Library houses over 17,000 books, 2,300 audio-visual items, 660 titles of periodicals in print or electronic format. The periodical collection comprises of magazines including a wide range of elite sports and sports-specific topics as well as journals covering subjects of sports medicine and biomechanics, sport psychology, coaching and more. The Library also subscribes to electronic databases - SPORTDiscus with Full Text and CNKI (China Academic Journals Full-Text Database and China Sports’ Knowledge Full-Text Database). SPORTDiscus contains full-text records from leading sports medicine journals, books, dissertations and more for sports and sports medicine research. CNKI offers access to full-text publications, including academic journals, dissertations, conference proceedings, newspapers, yearbooks, etc. on sports industry published in the Mainland.

The Library provides networked computers and audio-visual facilities for accessing library services, collections, library-subscribed electronic resources, and navigating the Internet.
