Democratic Party members visit HKSI

Legislative Councillors Emily Lau and Kam Nai-wai, joined by other District Councillors and community officers from the Democratic Party, visited the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) on 18 April. They toured the elite training and support service facilities for athletes, and met with HKSI management, coaches and elite athletes to understand athletes' training and education support. |
Nanjing Sport Institute visits HKSI

The Nanjing Sport Institute (NSI) signed a memorandum of collaboration with the HKSI in July last year. In an attempt to have a thorough understanding of HKSI¡¦s management system, organisation structure and athletic training, an 11-member delegation led by Zhang Xiong, President of NSI, visited the HKSI on 15 - 19 April. They had in-depth exchange with the HKSI Management and coaches on various areas including sport policies, elite training, sport marketing, public relations and facility management; and toured the HKSI sports training facilities. |
Wong Kam-po endorses MiLi brand

With his iconic energetic image, veteran cyclist Wong Kam-po, one of the most sought-after athletes by commercial organisations, was recently invited by MiLi to endorse the brand. Being a manufacturer of rechargeable battery of mobile phones and computer notebooks in the Mainland, MiLi found Wong¡¦s perseverance and endurance shown in the sport match the features of its products. A press conference was held on 28 April in Shenzhen to announce the collaboration, and promotions would be launched at both local and overseas markets. |
Lee Wai-sze attends Sing Tao Group Activity

Since capturing the first gold medal for Hong Kong at the Guangzhou Asian Games last year, cyclist Lee Wai-sze has drawn much positive attention from the public. Sing Tao Magazine Group also appreciates her perseverance, and invited her to officiate the kick-off ceremony of the Student Move Up campaign on 10 April, where she shared her story to encourage local students to participate in different activities, as well as to nurture positive values and proactive attitudes at a young age. |

Once again, wheelchair fencer Yu Chui-yee has been invited to be a speaker of a commercial activity. She shared her story with over 200 top agents of ING (Hong Kong) Life on 15 April, and received high recognition to her dedication to life and sports. |
