HKSI New Year Luncheon

To mark the onset of the Year of the Dragon, the HKSI Board of Directors hosted a New Year Luncheon on 10 February 2012 for over 100 guests from the National Sports Associations, the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, the Government, as well as sponsors and partners. HKSI Chairman Dr Eric Li expressed his gratitude for the long-term support from the Government, the sporting community as well as and the commercial sector, and looked forward to a continual close relationship with all parties for the betterment of Hong Kong¡¦s sports development. |
HKSI Vocational Training Day

Co-organised by the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) and the Rotary International District 3450, the Rotary Adopt-A-School Programme ¡§HKSI Vocational Training Day¡¨ was successfully held on 19 January 2012, aiming to encourage students gifted with sporting talents and students who are interested in pursuing sports-related career to join the elite sport community in the future. The event attracted about 200 students from Rotary Adopt-A-School Programme participating schools. Apart from an introduction of career paths and personal sharing by various staff members from the multi-disciplinary support team of HKSI and full time athletes, the youngsters were taken on a guided tour to HKSI facilities to gain a better understanding of elite athletes and their trainings. |
Yu Chui-yee shares sporting spirit at Yahoo! Hong Kong

Wheelchair fencer Yu Chui-yee was invited to share her inspiring story of becoming a sporting champion at the Yahoo! Hong Kong annual event on 18 January 2012, where she encouraged over 200 participants to never give up and to keep a positive spirit in striving for a higher personal goal. |
